Starting an 8PM on Saturday, June 2, 2012, the Ginsberg Marathon will begin at SPLAB. Confirmed featured poets: Mickey O’Connor (who will share many stories of studying and hanging out with Allen) & the Band of Poets.I have met a lot of people who hung out with Ginsberg (smoked dope, [allegedly] had sex, chanted, etc.). I'm not sure this exactly favors Mickey, but I trust the folks at SPLAB.
If for some reason you can't make it, one commenter, Greg Bem, has promised to live-Tweet the whole thing.
Alternatively, you could watch James Franco be Ginsberg in HOWL.
I have it on highly trusted recommendation from some dear friends at Horizon House that this mustn't be missed.
I've heard rumors that Franco's accepted a spot in a highly competitive PhD program in creative writing this fall....maybe he's channeling Allen's ghost?
