OPENING NIGHT (May 17)
- A Poet’s Table Dinner, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Maple Hall, 104 Commercial Street, La Conner, $75: Enjoy luscious local cuisine, fine wine, poetry, and conversations with the poets seated at your table.
- A Celtic Night: Poetry, Storytelling and Music, 8-11 p.m., La Conner Middle School Auditorium, 305 N. Sixth St., La Conner, $25. Irish poet Tony Curtis, storyteller Will Hornyak, and music by Randal Bays, Davey Mathais and Susan Waters.
FRIDAY NIGHT (May 18)
- Carolyn Forché, Tony Hoagland, Patrick Lane, and The Fugitives, 7:30-9:30 p.m., Maple Hall 103 Commercial Street La Conner, $25. Forche’, the celebrated “poet of witness,” performs with B.C.’s award-winning poet Lane, renowned poet Tony Hoagland and the Fugitives, a dynamic young word-and-song quartet from Vancouver.
