2012 shuf Poetry Award


shuf  is announcing the 2012 shuf Poetry Award!

Winner receives $100 and the coveted spot of Featured Poet of the Fall 2012 issue with full bragging rights.
Contest will be judged by poet and editor, Derek Pollard.

Derek Pollard is co-author with Derek Henderson of the book Inconsequentia (BlazeVOX 2010). His poems, creative non-fiction, and reviews appear in American Book Review, Colorado Review, Court Green, Diagram III, H_ngm_n, Pleiades, and Six–Word Memoirs on Love & Heartbreak, among numerous other anthologies and journals. He is an Assistant Editor at Barrow Street, Inc.; is a Black Mountain Fellow at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; and is on faculty at Pratt Institute and at the Downtown Writer’s Center in Syracuse, New York.

Contest Guidelines

Contest is open now through July 31st at midnight.  Entry fee is $5.00 per 3 poems.  Multiple entries are accepted, but please no more than 3 poems per entry.  The $5.00 fee applies per each contest entry.  All entries must be submitted by email and paid for via PayPal.

Please include your PayPal receipt ID, a short bio, and a little information about your work in the body of your email.  We will read this information after we have picked our finalist.  Make sure the poems speak for themselves.  Send us your best work.  We love experimentation, so go wild!
